PLAN THE PROJECT, NOT ONLY THE PAYMENT

Bring the renovation budget into focus.

Define the project

Start with the work, materials and services that form the complete renovation.

Allow for real costs

Use a realistic project estimate rather than planning around the headline price alone.

Compare a contribution

See how using some cash changes the estimated amount financed.

Understand the repayment

Review the rate, term, amortization and payment together before choosing.

RENOVATION WARRANTY INFORMATION

Know who stands behind the work.

Renovation protection may come from several places: manufacturer warranties on products, workmanship commitments from the business completing the project and any separately offered service protection. Financing the project does not itself extend those warranties.

Product warranties

Identify which materials, fixtures and equipment are covered by their manufacturers and whether registration is required.

Workmanship warranty

Get the installer’s written coverage period, responsibilities, exclusions and process for reporting a concern.

Before signing

Confirm when coverage begins, who handles the claim, whether labour is included and what records you must retain.

Important: Warranty obligations depend on the written product and service agreements provided for the project. Keep the final contract, invoices, warranty certificates and maintenance records together.

RENOVATION FINANCING QUESTIONS

A practical place to begin.

Can I estimate a budget before the final quote?

Yes. Use the planning tools for an early illustration, then update the figures when the project quote is complete.

How is retail financing different from a line of credit?

A retail loan has a defined amount and fixed repayment structure. A revolving facility may remain available for future use and can be treated differently in debt-service calculations.

Does the estimate guarantee financing?

No. Calculator results are planning illustrations. Final availability and terms depend on the application, project and lender review.

Payment estimates are illustrations and are not an offer of credit. Rates, terms and approval are subject to lender criteria and transaction details.
